On June 14th Germany time, Prof. Tan Junqiao, founder and honorary chairman of the Printing and Equipment Industry Association (PEIAC) Label Printing Branch, was selected as the winner of the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will be presented at the Label Industry Global Grand Prix during the Labelexpo Europe 2017.

Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award must make a significant contribution to the promotion and development for the label industry and serve for the industry at least 25 years. As the first Chinese to win this award, Professor Tan is known as the founder and promoter of the Chinese label and packaging and printing industry. Over the past 36 years, he has promoted the progress of China's printing industry, promoted China's printing technology innovation, developed product standards, organized and participated in various activities, improved policies and promoted enterprise development.

At the beginning of China's reform and opening up - In 1984, in view of China's packaging and printing industry development lag, the government decided to set up China Printing and Packaging Corporation under the leadership of the Ministry of Light Industry, the Ministry of Import and Export Bureau Tan Junqiao deputy director of the company's chairman and general manager. In 2008, due to the needs of the development of the label industry, Mr. Tan proposed the establishment of label printing branch and approved by the state, is one of the founders of China Label Printing Association.
